A surprise indeed! A tiny back-street local of great charm and character. It probably dates from 1839 and was opened as a beerhouse as part of the working-class development of the area. A Young's pub since 1920; granted a full licence only in the 1950s. Pétanque piste with an open competition every bank holiday. |
